Scarborough go in search of of FA Cup glory and revenge tomorrow.

Neil Thompson's Seasiders welcome Conference newcomers Leigh RMI to the McCain Stadium for tomorrow's fourth qualifying round tie.

UniBond League champions Leigh RMI have enjoyed a good start to the Nationwide Conference season and currently lie three places and two points above Boro in the table.

And it was RMI who ended Boro's unbeaten start to the campaign with a 2-0 victory at the end of August.

Former City chief Thompson and his assistant Ray McHale, spectators at York City's reserve match earlier this week, are hoping to strengthen their squad next week.

The duo have been on a number of scouting missions with a midfielder and a striker believed to be their top priorities.

Harrogate Town will want to give UniBond League division one leaders Vauxhall Motors their second shock of the week when they visit the Wirral tomorrow.

Motors lost 3-1 at lowly Kendal on Tuesday night, the Cumbrians being just one point above Town, who are steadily climbing the table following a terrible start to the campaign.

Meanwhile, three UniBond League division one teams - Winsford United, Kendal and Trafford - have been deducted three points for fielding ineligible players on the opening day of the season. Winsford's 2-0 victory over Harrogate, therefore, has effectively been ruled out.

In the Northern Counties East League premier division, Goole entertain struggling Garforth, while lowly Harrogate Railway play host to Glasshoughton Welfare.

Selby Town travel to Denaby United and again may be without full-back Andy Hart, who is a doubt with an ankle injury picked up in last Saturday's 0-0 FA Vase draw with Rossendale United. The knock forced him to miss the replay on Tuesday, which the Robins lost 2-0.

NCEL division one outfit Pickering Town beat Kirkbymoorside 2-1 on Wednesday in the final of the Jack Bamford Memorial Trophy, thanks to goals by Gary Chapman and Pat Gaughan, who is returning from injury.

However, the downside of the victory was ankle injuries to Chapman and Joe Connor and a recurrence of a groin strain for Alex Wilgrass.

Boss Jimmy Reid is now sweating on the fitness of all three for the league visit of Yorkshire Amateurs, who enjoyed their first win of the season last week, 3-2 against Tadcaster Albion.

Albion will be looking for a better result this weekend when they entertain Bridlington Town.

Nestl Rowntree are likely to be without calf strain victim Mark Watkinson for another fortnight starting with tomorrow's match at home to Rothwell Athletic in the first round of the West Yorkshire League (premier division) Cup.

Steve Haddon and Neil Durkin are still injured as well, while new signing Scott Barley will also sit out the match, as he is ineligible to play this week after moving across city from league rivals York RI.

York RI and Knaresborough Town both have tricky away ties in the League Cup, at Whitkirk Wanderers and Wetherby Athletic, respectively.

Knaresborough will have Marcus Emptage back in place of hamstring injury victim Chris Ellerker at centre-half, while Heath Anderson should be fit despite coming off after taking a knock last week.

They have also been boosted by the signing of Harrogate-based Sal Njie, who scored on his debut for the reserves last week and goes into the first-team squad.

New Earswick Under-19s have signed Spalding Town player Oliver Williamson, who has returned to Yorkshire to go to Leeds University.

New Earswick are without a game this weekend, but all players are asked to ring Farthing on 01904 330755 or 07946 608832 tomorrow night.
