INL 'A' went into third place thanks to a 9-1 win over York RI 'C'. Alfie Potter and Mick Kenyon were unbeaten.
Keith Bojas and Martin Hood each won three as INL 'B' beat British Telecom 'A' 9-1 to go top of division two.
Mike Cooper and Dave Rawlings each won three as second-placed Poppleton 'B' beat INL 'C' 9-1.
Ed Wardman maintained his unbeaten run with three wins as third-placed Fulford Road WMC 'B' beat Sessions 'B' 6-4.
Brian Milner scored three wins as fourth-placed British Telecom 'B' beat bottom team Poppleton 'C' 6-4. Richard Ingleby won three as Bootham Conservative Club 'C' beat Nestl Rowntree 'B' 6-4.
Richard Falkingham maintained his unbeaten record with three wins as division three leaders Poppleton 'D' beat INL 'D' 8-2.
Dave Boothroyd and Dave Quinlan were unbeaten as Northern Electric beat South Bank SC 9-1 to move up to third place.
Bootham Conservative Club 'D' beat a two-man Coneysthorpe 'C' team 8-2.
Ken Robson scored three wins as York RI 'E' beat Shepherd 'A' 8-2 and Peter Griffiths won three as RI 'E' beat Terry's 7-3 win. These two wins and a 5-5 draw against Bootham Conservative Club 'E' have taken RI 'E' up to fifth place.
Colin Dickson and Clive Warley were unbeaten as division four leaders Fulford Road WMC 'C' beat the Police 7-3.
Betty Norman and Dennis Chapman each won three as second-placed York RI 'F' beat CGNU 'B' 8-2. This match was played in one of the RI squash courts and all the players found it very bright.
John McDonald and Adrian Church were unbeaten as CGBU 'A' beat York RI 'H' 9-1.
Peter Thompson and Alan Richards were unbeaten as Nestl Rowntree 'C' beat York RI 'I' 8-2.
