Oliver Snook grabbed a hat-trick of tries to take his tally to 15 in seven matches as York Rugby Union Club's Under-7s defeated Wetherby 30-15.
Tom Edwards contributed a further two tries and Stuart Leigh one but it was the defensive performance from the York youngsters which was the basis of their success.
Outstanding tackling from Sam Blain, Edwards and William Booth limited Wetherby to just three tries.
Jack Maud dodged and weaved through the Wetherby line to score six tries in York Under-8s 35-20 victory. Dudley Snook was their other scorer in a fine exhibition of running rugby while there was some excellent tackling from Jared Bambridge and Adam Johnson.
The second game between the two sides was again won by York, 40-20.
Adam Johnson, who went in for a hat-trick, led a constant assault on the Wetherby line.
Other York try-scorers were Maud, Charlie Greenwood, Dudley Snook (2) and Daniel Harrison.
York Under-9s defeated Hessle 20-10 in their first game.
Good passing and running led to the opening try for Max Knighton, determination drove Charlie Nicholson across the line, Thomas Brown scored an opportunist try and a strong forward drive led to Ben Hepworth's try.
The Under-9s lost their second game 40-10 to Wetherby, James Vause and Josh Igoe scoring York's tries.
York Under-10s just edged a tight match against Wetherby 10-5. Matthew Appleton put York in front with a try in his first game before Wetherby drew level. Luke Bowler sent Ben Johnson away from the halfway line to score York's winner.
Against Hessle, York Under-10s were much more decisive and won 15-0 courtesy of a fine effort from the pack and tries by Rhys Mills (2) and Aron Robinson.
York Under-11s scored nine tries and five conversions to beat a mixed Wetherby Under-11s and 12s 55-0.
York's forwards dominated with Ross White producing a power-packed performance which was rewarded with a try. Andy Fraser got a hat-trick and other tries came from Milligan, Andrew Leigh, Oliver Hawking, Michael Harrison and Gareth Singleton.
