I DROVE to York Railway Station at about 6.30pm. It was getting dark and it was noticeable that while most cars were driving on at least sidelights practically all the cyclists were showing no lights at all.
I have been, in the past, accused of being anti-cyclist.
In fact I am anti anybody who treats the law with total contempt and also I am frightened to death of running over a cyclist who I have not seen because he or she has no, or totally inadequate, lights.
