Visitors to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway journeyed back in time to 1944 at the weekend to experience a taste of life in England during the Second World War.
The entire railway line was transformed into a working museum for the event, named Operation Rembrandt, with wartime displays of 1940s memorabilia at every station.
Organisers and visitors got into the swing of things by dressing up in authentic 1940s military and civilian clothes.
The wartime weekend kicked off with a commemorative parade in Pickering market place where there was a display of military vehicles.
Allied Home Guard were based at Goathland Station while the Allied Forces occupied Grosmont Station, where visitors were treated to a troop entertainer.
Scenes from 1944 were re-created throughout the weekend and a souvenir newspaper was on sale containing all the latest war news.
