Redcar pinned York's rivals for the wooden spoon, West Park (Bramhope), firmly to the bottom of the North Tow East table with a 41-18 defeat at Mackinlay Park.
The hosts scored via Paul Evans (2), Richard Barker, Greg Unthank, Nathan Fahey, Jason Nicholas and Gary Schofield, with Gareth Foreman adding three conversions.
Park's tries came from Jason Holmes and Joel Whitehead and Matt Stevens kicked a conversion and two penalties.
Despite a better display, Ripon lost 24-13 to visitors Cleckheaton, who boast former England three-quarter John Bentley in their ranks. Winger Mark Docherty, Jason Tozer and Alex Green scored Cleck's tries, Green converting all three and adding a penalty.
Lock forward Paul Goldsmith scored Ripon's try and Fred Oakes converted it and added three goals.
In their Yorkshire Two game at Dinnington, Scarborough had two players sin-binned but still won 18-3 with tries through scrum-half Bill Freeman and right winger Andy Holloway, Marcus Edwards adding a conversion, a penalty and a drop goal. Richard Cockerham scored a penalty for the hosts.
In the same league, Northaller-ton lost 15-8 to visitors West Leeds, who were 12-3 ahead at half time.
Ed Bulman opened the scoring for North with a penalty and wing Matt Bell added an unconverted try.
West scored three-quarter tries through Mark Hodgson and Shaun Thomas and Dave Breakwell added a conversion and a penalty.
Wetherby travelled to Old Rishworthians and won 19-15, Alex Fraser scoring their only try that was converted by Simon Martin who kicked a drop goal.
Brynn Wilson added three penalties for Wetherby, while Mark Thomas and Alex Fearnley touched down for Old Boys and Darren Wade kicked a conversion and penalty.
Nestl Rowntree beat Yorkshire Six visitors, Wibsey, 36-0 with tries by scrum-half Brian Cottom (2), Mick Lawrence, Chris Lowther, Joff Sowray and Ashley Walters.
Wensleydale lost 21-16 to Pont-eland in Durham/Northumberland Three, with Pont's tries scored by Steve Thompson and Malcolm Jeffries, Julian Parven adding goals.
Andy Harker scored penalties for Dale and converted a penalty try awarded for persistent dissension.
