Should York do more for refugees?
That is the question which will be asked at a public meeting being held at the Friends Meeting House, Friargate, York, on Friday, at 7.30pm.
Jonathan Ellis, of Oxfam Campaigns, Oxford, Hugh Bayley, the York MP, and Lesley Healey, of City of York Council, will be among the speakers.
Lesley, who is head of advice and housing assessments for City of York Council, has first-hand knowledge of the issues affecting refugees, having worked closely with the families who came from Kosovo to stay in York.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and there will be plenty of opportunity for questions from the floor.
The meeting has been arranged by Oxfam Campaigns, York. For further details telephone 01904 640892.
