THE York Union of Golf Clubs' Lewis Trophy will reside in the Heworth club's cabinet for another year.
The pairing of David Walsh and Peter Jackson retained the trophy after scoring 40 points at The York, the competition being reduced to 16 holes due to the wet weather.
However, it was a tight competition with the top 12 pairs all within three points of one another.
A score of 39 gave Boothferry brothers Steve and Paul Harlington second place as they pipped Malton and Norton captain Peter Bailey and professional Steve Robinson on countback.
