A York shopping park is set for a shake-up as high street clothes giant Arcadia merges its brands in a bid to halt plunging profits.
But the retail group has insisted the changes to its "multi-site" set-up at Monks Cross will be minimal and are unlikely to affect jobs.
The shake-up follows yesterday's announcement by Arcadia that a further 55 of its shops across the country would close in the face of its £153million pre-tax loss.
An Arcadia spokeswoman said: "It is still very early days and we are not making any major changes at Monks Cross. We are happy with the way it is trading and we will continue with the brands we have there."
The groups brands at Monks Cross are Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Principles for Men, Principles for Women, Top Man, Top Shop, and Outfit.
The spokeswoman said the only change to affect Monks Cross would be the end of the Principles for Men brand in January 2001.
