Scarborough will welcome in-form duo Paul Ellender and Gareth Williams back to the side after suspension for the trip to lowly Kettering tomorrow.

Neil Thompson's team have not scored for four games and the return of joint leading scorer Williams is a big plus - as is the return of the other five-goal man Steve Brodie after injury.

Thompson himself will continue as sweeper with Denny Ingram pushing into midfield to make way for Ellender.

Harrogate Town - who, under Dave Fell and now Mick Hennigan, have used no fewer than 29 players already this season - will be looking to continue their climb up the UniBond League division one table when they visit Gretna.

Pickering Town boss Jimmy Reid will be happy with an extra midweek fixture next week - because that will mean his side are still in the FA Carlsberg Vase.

They face a tough trip to Chester-Le-Street in the first round proper tomorrow and while Reid is confident, he will settle for a replay at the Recreation Ground on Tuesday.

While the Pikes are still without the injured Dean McAuley, Mark Wood and Alex Wilgrass return to the squad after recovering from respective foot and groin trouble.

Elsewhere in the FA Vase, Goole visit Glasshoughton Welfare.

Tadcaster Albion travel to Yorkshire Amateurs in division one of the Northern Counties East League with manager Wayne Day warning there will be an inquest if any points are dropped.

In the premier division, Selby Town's home meeting with Liversedge is postponed as the Heavy Woollen side are on FA Vase duty, while Harrogate Railway, with Johnny Ebdon coming in for the unavailable Phil Walker at centre-back, travel to take on Doncaster outfit Brodsworth MW.

Knaresborough Town will be looking to put their poor league form - four straight defeats - behind them when they take on Beckwithshaw Saints at home in the first round of the Harrogate and District FA's Whitworth Cup.

They have a full strength squad to pick from with Lee Shaw and Nigel Young being restored to the side after missing last week's 3-2 defeat by West Yorkshire League premier division rivals Nestle Rowntree.

Both Nestle and York RI are also in cup action, with North Riding County FA Cup matches at home to Thornaby and away to Kirkby-moorside, respectively.

Nestle manager Jim Collis has a tough decision to make as regular number one Neil Smallwood returns to the squad after injury. Collis will decide tomorrow whether to give him the gloves or stick with the in-form John Reynolds.

Alex Dewhurst, Andy Cox and Steve Ward also return to the fold, but Mark Watkinson, who went down with a calf strain last week, Steve Haddon and Neil Durkin, who suffered a recurrence of his groin injury in his first game back last week, are all ruled out.

RI boss Brian Wilkinson has secured the services of Yorkshire Herald striker John Allcock, who, being left-footed, will offer his side better balance in attack.

Allcock enjoyed a good debut last week and will start again tomorrow, while Richard Barritt, who has signed from Leeper Hare York and District League's Easingwold Town at the start of the season, will make his debut in midfield after getting over ankle ligament damage.

On Sunday, New Earswick will be gunning for their third Northern Under-19 Alliance League win on the trot at Pontefract Collieries.
