LOVE KISS, who ploughed through testing ground to win at Ayr recently, can follow-up under similar gruelling conditions at Newcastle tomorrow.
The Wilf Storey-trained gelding goes for the Northern Computer Markets Handicap and looks capable of defying a 6lb penalty.
Love Kiss has been plagued by breaking blood vessels in the past, but Storey believes the three-year-old is now over the worst of his problems.
There was certainly no sign of anything amiss last week at Ayr where Love Kiss got the better of Spree Vision by a length with the remainder of the field beaten no less than 16 lengths.
With Tyrone Williams again in the saddle, Love Kiss can complete a quick double tomorrow.
First Musical is worthy of respect in the £10,000 Tote totalbet.com Handicap over six furlongs.
Although it is some time since Mel Brittain's sprinter got her head in front, she is particularly effective on testing ground, which she will have tomorrow.
Although her latest effort at Catterick, under similar conditions, was slightly disappointing, First Musical should not be written off yet. Dean Mernagh again has the ride on this confirmed mud-lover.
Tancred Times has strong claims in the betsmart.co.uk Handicap over the minimim distance. Fergal Lynch's mount failed by just a neck to get the better of Chorus in a 24-runner handicap at Windsor recently.
Clearly still in good heart as the season draws to a close, Tancred Times can go one better here for Scorton trainer David Barker.
At Nottingham, Cautious Joe is napped to complete a hat-trick of wins for Butterwick handler Richard Fahey.
Much-improved since being stepped-up to a mile, Cautious Joe has won her last two starts at Leicester in good style.
She goes into unknown territory tomorrow over ten furlongs in the Nottingham Racecourse and Conference Centre Classic, but this stoutly-bred filly gives every indication that stamina is her strong suit and she is expected to see out this longer trip. With smart apprentice Paul Hanagan in the saddle, Cautious Joe is napped to oblige again.
Carlton looks sure to make a bold bid in the Freecartwright Solicitors Handicap over six furlongs. Trained by David Elsworth, whose horses seem in good form again now, Carlton ran out a convincing two lengths winner from Agent Mulder at Sandown recently. He has more to do here, but is capable of running a big race.
Bint Royal created a good impression when scoring at Catterick two weeks ago after being significantly well-supported.
It would come as no surprise to see Jeremy Glover's speedy filly follow-up in the Roof Top Restaurant Novice Auction Stakes. Ollie Pears again has the mount.
