Sewerby and Studley Royal could be joining the Hunters estate agent York and District Senior Cricket League in 2001.
Both have got the thumbs up from the league committee after their grounds were inspected.
Sewerby, near Bridlington, currently play in the Scarborough Beckett League, and Studley Royal are members of the Nidderdale League.
York 3rds bid to move to the Senior League from the York Vale League have not received backing as the pavilion facilities are not of a high enough standard.
An application for two teams from Hemingbrough to join the Senior League were also not supported as the club's new pavilion has yet to be built.
Harrogate 3rds withdrew their application after being told that their second team ground was not up to standard and Cleethorpes' application was not pursued after they were told the club was well outside the league's catchment area.
New teams in the league next season will be Hull Zingari (division two), Hornsea, Malton and Old Malton 1sts (division three), Malton and Old Malton 2nds, Pickering 2nds, Wilberfoss 2nds and Heslington 2nds (division five).
The committee is recommending that Goole Town and Civil Service, who were both required to seek re-election because their grounds were below standard, are re-admitted to the league.
New Earswick and Thorp Arch, who finshed at the bottom of division five, are also being recommended for re-election.
Changes covering the eligibility of players, put forward by Acomb, seconded by Heworth and supported by the league committee, will also be considered.
It is proposed that clubs may register either one overseas player or one first class player. The definition of an overseas player will be one who is not eligible to play for England.
A first class player shall be defined as one who has appeared in over seven first class games world-wide, including one day internationals, However, the restriction will not apply to players whose last first class appearance was over five years ago or have reached 50 years of age on April 10 prior to the season.
Clubs may also register one player who is contracted to a county or minor county clubs.
