A penalty in injury time by New Zealander Brad Mooare saw Harrogate lose their National League division two match against Rosslyn Park 19-17 at Roehampton.
Harrogate had led 7-6 at the turn round, their tries being scored by lock forward Peter Taylor and centre Graham Sargeant, Lee Cholewa converting both and adding a penalty goal.
Mooare succeeded with three penalty kicks and touched down a try, Rosslyn Park's other try being scored by centre Nick Marvel.
Ripon crashed 53-3 in their Yorkshire One match at Huddersfield YMCA.
In Yorkshire Two, Scarborough hammered Wath-on-Dearne 25-3 at Newby with tries from full back Phil Barker, centre Rob Bell and fly-half Marcus Edwards, who also added a conversion, a drop goal and a penalty.
Wath's fly-half Tim Chappell had opened the scoring with a penalty in the ninth minute.
York RI were without a game on Saturday as their scheduled Yorkshire Three visitors Moortown were playing their Tetley's Bitter Vase second round delayed tie against Wakefield Cougars which had been postponed the previous weekend because of a waterlogged pitch. The Cougars won 13-6.
Wetherby were were pipped 29-27 by visitors Burley in Yorkshire Four.
Knaresborough won 24-17 at Withernsea in Yorkshire Six.
Nestl Rowntree went down 18-17 in Yorkshire Six at Garforth after they had led 8-0 at half-time. Garforth fought back to 13-12 by the threequarter stage.
Ashley Walters, Chris Roberts and Jim Bell scored tries for Rowntree, Olli Turner adding a conversion. Stuart Glide, Paul Hampshire and Adam Ross got tries for Garforth. Carl Johnson kicked a penalty.
