FISHING RODS, televisions, lawnmowers and even the kitchen sink are available for nowt, thanks to an East Yorkshire Internet entrepreneur.
The Pocklington-based website Freebies R Us allows people to recycle unwanted and unused items back into the community preserving the environment and cutting down on waste.
John Allman's site allows individuals to rid themselves of unused bits and pieces from garage clear-outs or old toys which can be advertised on the site for collection with the knowledge they are being put to good use.
Companies can donate unwanted items such as surplus stocks, old office furniture and computers instead of paying money to store or throw it away - and can also place their company's website next to the item for publicity.
People searching the site can pick what they want and an e-mail will be sent to those offering the goods so collection can be arranged.
There is also a facility for charities or collectors to post on the site any items they are looking for, enabling potential donors to see what people want.
"There is so much perfectly good stuff being thrown out," said John, 49, a civil servant who is currently working in a second job at a supermarket to fund the site.
"Freebies R Us enables goods to be recycled which is a good thing. It is a convenient way of getting rid of unwanted items and a great aid for charities wanting new equipment."
There are no registrations or passwords on this site and it is free to use - it will be funded wholly by advertising, although at the moment it is John's money being pumped in.
Feedback on the website from pleased collectors of freebies comes from as far a field as Zimbabwe and the international site has goods available everywhere from Pocklington to Taiwan.
