York City Baths Club swimmer had a good day on at the Kingston-upon-Hull A and B grade open meet.
Sarah Kinnel won York's only gold medal in the A grade gala, in the 15 years 100 freestyle, just 0.05sec outside her personal best time.
The four silver medals went to Jack Burgess in the 15 years 100 backstroke, Gawain Ng in the 15 years 100 breaststroke in a personal best time, Mark Howath in the 13 years 100 backstroke, and Robert Kinnel in the 11 years 100 butterfly. Kinnel also got one of the two bronze medals, in a personal best time by four seconds in the 11 years 100 freestyle.
Mark Howath got the second bronze, in the 13 years 100m butterfly.
In the B grade gala Jack Burgess got a speeding ticket in the 15 years 100m butterfly in a personal best time by 1.5sec.
York swimmers also won four gold medals in the B grade gala, all in personal best times: Laura Cuthill in the 12 years 100m freestyle, Gawain Ng collected two golds in the 15 years 100m backstroke and butterfly, and Josh Burgess won the 12 years 100m freestyle.
He also won silver in the 100m breaststroke in a personal best time. The two bronze medals went to Hayley Cuthill in the 10 years 50m breaststroke, in a personal best time, and Mark Howath in the 13 years 100m freestyle in a personal best time.
The total medal tally at the end of the day was five golds, five silvers, four bronze, a speeding ticket and 15 personal best times, and finishing in the top six clubs.
