CAN you play snooker? I know many people who stay at Woodlands Multiple Sclerosis Respite Care Centre who would give everything just to be able to walk round a snooker table and shake an opponent's hand.
Gary Penrose has donated his club (Cue Ball, James Street, Industrial Estate, York), to Woodlands for a snooker competition. It is at 10am, this Saturday. John Smith's has donated £100 in prize money. Every £10 entry fee will go directly to Woodlands.
We haven't got a super star, we haven't got huge prizes, but what we have got is the chance to have a full day of snooker with the knowledge we will all be helping people afflicted by a terrible disease.
So ring Jenny Wharram at Woodlands on 01904 430600 or Gary Penrose on 01904 415181, or just turn up on the day.
