RUSTIC rogue Claude Jeremiah Greengrass skulked into York to join fellow cast members from North Yorkshire drama Heartbeat to celebrate a landmark anniversary.
Heads turned at Bettys, in St Helen's Square, as stars of the popular series, filmed in and around the picture postcard setting of Goathland, on the North York Moors, clinked glasses to toast their tenth series.
Among them were screen stalwart Bill Maynard, who plays the loveable liar Greengrass, Jason Durr, who plays PC Mike Bradley, and former Brookside beauty Kazia Pelka, who stars as nurse Maggie Bolton. Producers, writers and other members of the Heartbeat team also joined in the fun.
Paula Bissett, Bettys branch manager, said: "We're all avid fans of the programme and wish it every success for the next ten series."
The world-renowned caf is the sister company of the programme's sponsors, Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Tea.
The new shows will be screened from October 22.
