With an annual mileage of over thirty five thousand and a petrol bill that would make even king of the truckers Eddie Stobart wince, you'd think Ian Davis was the world's number one travelling salesman - but he's not.
Instead, 31-year-old Ian turns out every Sunday as centre-half for the aptly named York Nomads 85 - despite living in Plymouth.
Civil Engineer Ian joined the Nomads five years ago when he lived in Harrogate, and stints working in both London and South Wales as well as Plymouth have never put him off his weekly football fix.
In fact, it took trip to Equatorial Guinea to stop him in his tracks - but Ian said he had checked to see if flight times coincided with kick off.
He said: "No matter where I work, I'll still come back and play in York. I'm like a gypsy really - I suppose that's why I play for a team called the Nomads."
Nomads Manager John Lynch said: "Ian is either incredibly loyal or incredibly stupid."
