York City boss Terry Dolan is tonight set to cast his eye over flying Dutchman Theodor Gunnissen.
Winger Gunnissen, 23, has been named in the City reserve starting line-up to face Shrewsbury Town at Bootham Crescent (kick-off 7pm) after international clearance was obtained.
Gunnissen arrives at City from Amsterdam-based club NFC and linked up with the Minstermen for the first time in training yesterday.
It is understood he was recommended to the club by the boss of a local football team in York.
Tonight's rearranged Avon Insurance division one encounter, brought forward 24 hours because both clubs are in action on Friday, could attract a number of scouts to Bootham Crescent with transfer-listed Barry Conlon also named in the starting line-up.
Conlon, who was put up for sale by Dolan last week, will partner Colin Alcide up front with fellow striker James Turley also set to feature.
Scott Jordan, who played in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Hartlepool, has also been named in tonight's team alongside Graham Potter, a substitute at the Victoria Stadium and who is working his way back to fitness after a stomach bug.
With second choice goalkeeper Russ Howarth now away on international duty with England Under-18s, second-year trainee John Collinson will start in goal. Rookie shot-stopper Mark Hampshire, a first-year trainee, provides cover for Collinson.
York City club captain Peter Swan is this week at Lilleshall, the national sports centre in Shropshire, as he steps up his recovery from a cartilage operation on his knee.
York City reserves: Collinson, Thompson, Gowen, Jordan, Reed, Fielding, Turley, Gunnissen, Conlon, Alcide, Potter. Subs, from: Russell, Wood, Salvati, Rhodes, Hampshire, Ormston.
