ABBA tribute band Abbamania joined people across Yorkshire today in their support for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning - which raises cash for cancer care nurses.
Hundreds of kettles boiled across the region as people enjoyed a brew and helped raise charity money in the Macmillan Cancer Relief World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
And the way was led by York centenarian Florrie Twist, who held a coffee morning at her home, Morrell House, on Burton Stone Lane.
Florrie said she put the kettle on as she is a big supporter of Macmillan Nurses and the work they do.
She wrote to fellow senior citizens across the country's nursing homes, encouraging them to follow her lead.
She said: "Thanks to everyone who helped out or donated. I would encourage as many people as possible to find those spare pennies and donate them to Macmillan where they will be put to very good use."
Abbamania, who are playing gigs at the York Grand Opera House this week, also showed their support for the event.
Opera House spokesperson Keira Meheux said: "Abbamania were very willing to help out with the World's Biggest Coffee Morning. As well as being game for a laugh they know what an important cause it is and were very keen to support it."
