FAST-expanding JWE Telecom in Pocklington is investing £1.4 million in Datel software packages.
Datel provides turnkey business solutions to the small and medium business market and will help JWE with its distribution, finance and repair.
The investment comes as JWE is preparing to change its name to Convergent Communications as two multi-million acquisitions are in the pipeline, which will put the group's turnover at £50 million.
JWE has already conditionally agreed to buy the entire issued share capital of Direct Voice and Data Ltd for £5.1 million and has proposed an £8 million take-over of Crosshouse Holdings Ltd, a leading supplier of telecommunications and data equipment, and related software and services.
