Tadcaster Ladies hockey club collected a welcome win as they beat Bradford Ladies 3-1.
Bradford made the early running but two goals just before half-time put Tadcaster in control.The first strike came from Sarah Pedder from a short corner and Rebecca Cattle then produced a powerful finish for the second.
Bradford hit back after the break but Tadcaster tied up the points when Cattle bagged her second.
Tadcaster's men's first team were beaten 3-1 by Thirsk despite impressing in the first half.
They led at the interval with Rob Hill scoring after fine work by Peter Notley and Matt Boyle, but the second half brought a hat-trick for Thirsk striker Trevor Portion.
Tadcaster II also faced Thirsk and a three goal burst in a 15 minute period in the second half brought them a 4-1 win.
Thirsk had taken a tenth minute lead but Tadcaster hit back through Boyle just before half-time and further strikes from Boyle, Dowdall and Hill ensured victory.
