OH dear... I'm such a philistine because of my inability to appreciate some of the latest 'works of art' on exhibition in London.
It's patronising of a few 'artists' and rather silly, impressionable art 'experts' to try ramming their personal misery at the general public as though pain is a sudden, unique discovery upon which they have a monopoly and of which ordinary mortals know next to nothing.
Suffering must, apparently, be reflected in art. Maybe, but how I long for something less squalid and more uplifting than some of these new exhibits.
It saddens me to think of all the talented artists - undiscovered just because they work quietly, choosing not to resort to headline-grabbing 'shock' tactics.
