Ryedale is to welcome its second Royal visitor in less than a week.
Prince Charles will arrive in Pickering on the footplate of a steam locomotive on Monday, October 2, only five days after his brother, Andrew, visits Helmsley.
The Prince of Wales is due to come into Pickering's newly-restored railway station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway's steam engine Sir Nigel Gresley at 1.35pm.
He will then walk to the town's War Memorial Hall, where a £760,000 refurbishment has transformed facilities to make it a new focus for community and cultural events.
The Prince will meet people involved in the restoration project, including the hall committee, the builders and architects, before leaving at 2.50pm.
Pickering is only one of four destinations during a hectic day-long visit to North Yorkshire and Cleveland, with the Prince also calling in to Malham Tarn Field Centre and to Nidderdale Business and Training Centre at Pateley Bridge, and to an industrial estate at Thornaby, Stockton on Tees.
The Duke of York is visiting Helmsley on Wednesday to inspect the £180,000 restoration of the Town Hall. He will subsequently visit a £1.4 million new community centre at Riccall, near Selby.
