Poppleton United beat the vandals who had damaged their pitch by managing to play their Junior Cup tie against Stamford Bridge, but they were unable to defeat a slick Bridge outfit.
The visitors won 3-0 thanks to goals by Peter Carpenter, Nick Rank and Jamie Rank.
The fightback of the round was at Ampleforth, where Heworth came from 4-1 down to snatch a 5-4 victory with goals by David Bonner (2), James Dexter, Nick Flanagan and Kevin Mainprize.
Rawcliffe defeated the over-35s side, York Corinthians, 2-0 with goals by Paul Beddington and Dale Phillips.
Marton-cum-Grafton beat higher league opposition in Copmanthorpe, 2-1. Matthew Salmon put Marton into the lead, but ex-Osbaldwick player Graham Butcher levelled.
Marton's winner came from Anthony Airestone, but they were indebted to substitute goalkeeper Duncan Aldrick for a tremendous last-minute save which maintained their lead.
In the all-Beckett League tie, Slingsby grabbed a 2-1 extra-time victory over Westlers with Carl Biggins netting both goals and Jamie Shepherd replying for Westlers.
In the Reserve Cup most teams had byes, but Dringhouses overran Stillington 11-0 with Dermott Read netting four.
