Children from a York primary school helped launch a charity appeal to help other youngsters.
The appeal is being run by the Swallow Hotel in Tadcaster Road, York, which will be running an appeal called Cuppa For A Kid.
Twenty pence from the price of every cup of tea or coffee bought in the hotel will go towards the NSPCC.
Fiona Thompson, from the hotel, got the appeal off to a good start with children from English Martyrs' RC Primary School in Holgate, where her son, Arran, is a pupil. The appeal runs until November 1.
The hotel is also raising money in other ways, including a plan by general manager Chris Wilson to do the Great North Run next month.
