Former Heworth starlet Scott Rhodes has joined Hull FC from Leeds Rhinos until the end of the season and will make his Super League debut at Wigan Warriors tomorrow.
The York-based scrum-half replaces Australian Will Robinson who has returned home for personal reasons.
Rhodes, 19, a former Great Britain Academy international, was in Hull coach Shaun McRae's Scotland squad last season.
Hull chief executive Shane Richardson said: "This will give us a chance to see what he's like at Super League level. If we like him we might be able to sign him full-time."
