A FELLOW baldie is to use beermats in his pub for the first time - and it is all thanks to William Hague.
The Labour Party has released a beermat pillorying the Conservative leader for his recent 14-pint boast in a men's magazine while, of course, promoting its own successes.
Sean Collinge, licensee at the Maltings, Tanners Moat, tends not to bother with mats in his real ale pub, but when he heard about the new William Hague version he could not resist it.
"He seems to have lost all credibility now," said Sean, who confesses to a lack of interest in politics.
"Even I couldn't drink 14 pints in a day. I would be happy to offer him 14 pints of our very best guest ales if he wanted to pop in to try and repeat his feat.
"This is one beermat I don't mind having on my tables."
