YORK City's reserves will feature trialist defender Neville Stamp for tonight's Avon Insurance League division one clash at Sheffield United (7pm).
Left-back Stamp, aged 19, is available on a free from second division Reading, but is still under contract at the Madejski Stadium.
The youngster has come up through the Royals' youth ranks but injuries have limited his senior appearances to just one.
As expected, seasoned sentinel Chris Fairclough will also make his first appearance of the season tonight for City's reserves.
The former Leeds and Tottenham defender is working his way back to full fitness after twice undergoing key-hole surgery on his knee during the summer.
Transfer-listed Craig Skinner has also shaken off a thigh injury, while Christian Fox has recovered from a hamstring injury and will be pressing for a first team recall for Saturday.
Midfielder Scott Jordan continues his comeback after a thigh strain and will be looking to get 90 minutes play under his belt.
City reserves: Russ Howarth, Andrew Dawson, Neville Stamp, Scott Jordan, Chris Fairclough, Martin Reed, Craig Skinner, Christian Fox, James Turley, Marc Williams, Kieran Darlow. Subs, from: John Collinson, Marc Salvati, Leigh Wood, John Keegan, Gary Ormston.
