West Yorkshire Football League champions Nestle Rowntree stretched their winning run to six games with a 2-0 victory over local rivals York RI.

Trees took a second half lead when Elliott Simpson slotted home from 12 yards and doubled their advantage when Rob Ellis raced clear and unleashed an unstoppable drive.

Manager Jim Collis said he was pleased with the win but admitted his side can still do better.

"You have got to be satisfied with the result but I want to see us improve. I don't think we have played to our potential yet," he said.

Knaresborough Town had a good away win, 1-0 at Mount St Mary's.
