STILLINGFLEET vice-captain Chris Walker had a day to remember in the division four clash against Bishopthorpe.
Following his 3-53 return from a 20-over spell, he came in to bat and dominated the Bishopthorpe bowling with a maiden century - leading his team to victory and promotion to the third division.
Burn will accompany Fleet into the higher division after a five wicket win at Huntington.
However, the fixture list has left the pair to meet on the final day to decide who will be champions.
Against Huntington Burn's attack of Nigel Horsley and Matthew Smith proved a handful, although it took the best part of 40 overs to prise out the tail end, and then Andy Watson led the batting to secure a five-wicket win.
The University Staff side paid for their lack of concentration as they lost to Heslington - and missed one of the promotion places.
Heslington skipper Bob Taylor was dropped before he went on to score 56 as Heslington reached 146-9.
John Myers then took 5-58 from his 20 overs to upset the Staff batting and Heslington won through by 14 runs.
Heworth were too strong for Tadcaster Magnet.
They made 170-8, with Anthony Rodgers and John Dale putting on 92 for the fifth wicket, but relegated Tadcaster at least hung on in their innings to make a respectable 139-6.
Joining them in the fifth division next season will be Stockton and Hopgrove.
They again struggled against Acomb, who raced to 244-5 as Neil Hinde, Matthew Dickinson and Scott Nicholls all scored freely.
Stockton's batsmen were no match for the Acomb attack, with Phil Chaffer the pick as he claimed 3-16.
Rampant Drax took over the leadership of division five after a big win at Pocklington.
Scott Simm led the way with an unbeaten 70, aided by Jerry Worley's 48, but man of the match was John Penistone who followed up his 64 with the bat with a wicket haul of 5-21.
Ovington crawled to 50 in their first 20 overs against York, but were pulled round by an attacking display from their middle order.
George Marwood, Ian Holmes and Carl Potter all scored 30 or more as they reached 176-9.
However, York were inspired by 15-year-old Matthew Hodgson, who struck an unbeaten 87 to see his side home by six wickets.
Drax and Ovington are the two promoted sides promoted but again it will take the season's final game to decide the divisional champions.
Dave Lawler helped Wistow to 123-6 on a wet Wheldrake wicket.
John Middleton and Mick Bell both took five wickets as Wheldrake fell for 49.
The replayed Guy Mitchell Cup final between Burn and York Post Office will take place on Sunday at Heworth Cricket Club, wickets pitched at 2pm.
