MORE than 100 tonnes of hay and straw went up in flames during a fire at a farm near York.
Fire crews from York and Acomb were called to tackle the blaze in a barn at Manor Farm, Beningbrough, yesterday afternoon.
At its height, there were four fire engines at the scene and firefighters stayed late into the evening to damp down.
No one was injured.
