THE transfer embargo imposed on Scarborough is still in place despite the Nationwide Conference club being saved from going under.
It is understood the injunction, preventing manager Neil Thompson from strengthening a small squad of senior players, will be lifted as soon as the complex transfer of shares to new owner Brooks Mileson is completed.
The embargo has been in place since the end of last season after it was revealed the Seasiders still owed money, believed to be around £4,000, to former players Liam Robinson, Jason Lydiate and Tony Elliott.
The current Scarborough squad, who are in action at Southport tonight, have now received their wages for July.
