THESE new graduates were among hundreds from the College of Ripon and York St John at York Minster today to receive their degree certificates.

The Minster ceremonies will be followed on Thursday by more ceremonies at Ripon Cathedral.
A total of 868 students have graduated from the college this year, with 93 per cent achieving first or second class honours. Seventy-two students got first class degrees.
Students on the primary teacher education courses had an exceptional year, with 80 per cent getting firsts or 2:1s. The occupational therapy students also did well, with 70 per cent getting first class or upper second degrees.
