AN intrepid landlord is set to bring a new form of hunting to York - and all without leaving the pub table.
James Butler, licensee at York Brewery's only pub, The Last Drop Inn, will soon be hosting a "beer zoo" hunting night, and a search for "beasts in a pint glass".
More exciting than darts, and far more interesting than dominoes, drinkers can wile away the hours searching for creatures in the froth, left in their glasses.
As a pint is slowly drunk, a creamy froth is left clinging to the side of the drinker's glass and upon closer inspection all kinds of weird and wonderful shapes can be found within it.
As part of a nationwide competition, drinkers at the pub will soon have a chance to seek out these beery animals and photograph them to give the pub a chance to win a unique prize.
