No new revelations for This is York this week.

We're still reeling from winning the Web Site Of The Year award (Newsquest Editorial Awards) and from all the frenetic activity surrounding our launch at the Evening Press' Computer And Internet Fair last Monday.

About 400 visitors attended the fair last Monday in the Exhibition Centre at York University. The event, sponsored by Compupack, was a resounding success, with exhibitors providing information on all aspects of the Internet, from hardware to training providers.

There was free use of the Internet caf which attracted a lot of interest from novice and veteran surfers alike.

And there was the draw of our expatshopping.com competition to mark the official launch of the new look This Is York web site. The winner was drawn by Simon Adlrich, Sales and Marketing Director of expatshopping.com.

The winner was Jennifer Rainville, who will receive £200 of expatshopping.com goodies - goods only available in England, such as Marmite and Colman's mustard - to be sent to her partner, Mike Crouch, in San Fransisco.

Of This Is York, she said: "I love your website and I read it daily. I used to live in York as a student of archaeology at the university and I think back on my time in York often and fondly."

Mo Birley, organiser of the fair, said, "The day was enjoyed by both visitors and exhibitors, and the Evening Press exhibition team look forward to expanding both the number and variety of stands next year."
