YORK Wasps will be playing to a different tune next season.
The club ran a competition for supporters to come up with a new club song and the first prize has gone to Lewes Barker.
He suggested new lyrics to sing to the tune of The Eton Boating Song. The words to the song, which will be heard for the first time at the opening home match of next season, are: We're all Wasps together, Home and away we go, York Wasps together, We huff and we puff and we blow, We'll always support you, through thick and thin, high and low, Cos we're all Wasps together, Up and under and off we go.
Lewes wins a VIP day out at York match next season.
Second prize of a signed match ball went to Simon Hall, who submitted an alternative version of Frank Sinatra's New York New York.
