NEW York RI coaches Steve Fawcett and Ian Hassall have brought in seven new faces as they go in search of Yorkshire Three glory.
Harrogate have provided RI with three players. Experienced prop Iain Andrews has done the rounds with London Scottish and West Hartlepool as well as Harrogate, who have also released lock forward Chris Hudson and scrum half Tim Barley to RI.
Also coming in are lock forward Syd Feasey who has Midland County experience, utility back Andy Kehoe from St John's College and wing forward Chris Austin from neighbours Rowntrees.
Another newcomer is a young stand-off from New Zealand, Brett Dunnage, who is currently working in York.
They join winger Hassall who has re-joined the New Lane club from Harrogate as a player-coach.
The only player to leave is three-quarter Paul Rimmer who has moved to Qatar in the Middle East on business.
The biggest changes this season are likely to be in the second team as RI look to the future.
RI manager Nigel Lowrey revealed that they have identified this as a development season in the reserves.
He said: "We intend to blood some young juniors in the second team. We will use it more of a development team to bring the youngsters through."
York RI's first team, which competed in Yorkshire Two last season, will this time be in Yorkshire Three due to the league's restructuring.
They face a tough opening month with four of their first five matches - starting at Skipton on Saturday - away from home.
