QUEEN Anne School formally closes today and the City of York Council would like to formally recognise this and place on record our thanks to Mrs Priestley, the head teacher, and the staff and governors for their commitment, energy and hard work over the last few years.
This is a very sad day for many people; pupils moving on to other schools, parents, ex-pupils, staff, governors, and many others who knew Queen Anne School as a happy, vibrant and successful place of learning.
Queen Anne School has a proud history and its memory as a strong, successful part of educational provision in York will not be forgotten.
Michael Peters and Chris Edwards,
Director and Deputy Director of Educational Services.
City of York Council.
