CHARLES Hutchinson's lack of enthusiasm for the Bryan Ferry concert at Castle Howard did not reflect the enjoyment this concert gave so many people (August 19).

His comments about Bryan not making it special as it was the last date of his tour were again wrong. It was important enough for Bryan to have family present.

Mr Hutchinson was obviously not observant enough to notice Bryan's son, who had been in the news recently, wandering around with a back-stage pass around his neck!

What I did think would be reported was how a few of the concert goers had turned up drunk and unable to stand and heckled Bryan because they wanted the "old Ferry" and the fact that late arrivals thought they had the right to walk straight to the front making the lives of people who had been there for hours hell!

Bryan Ferry has got a stage presence which is so difficult to find these days, a true gentleman who, after all these years, knows exactly what his audience wants. It is just a shame that Mr Hutchinson did not find it in his heart to report what the concert goers really thought.
