Kevin Darley, high on quantity of winners this season as he seeks his first jockeys' championship, can add some top-notch quality to his bulging scoresheet by taking the major race at Goodwood tomorrow.

The Sheriff Hutton rider continues his association with Observatory in the £80,000 Celebration Mile and John Gosden's high-ranking colt is napped to take the honours.

Winner of the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot, Obervatory followed-up in gutsy style at Goodwood when beating the in-form Three Points by a length and a half.

Both those races were over seven furlongs, but Observatory leaves the impression that a little further will suit him even better and tomorrow's longer trip should be tailor-made.

Gosden has won two of the last three runnings of this Group 2 showpiece. Observatory can oblige for him again - and for Darley.

John Dunlop, who had mixed fortune on Knavesmire yesterday, can take the £25,000 Sport On 5 March Stakes with Samsaam.

The Arundel trainer was disappointed to see the odds-on Khulan defeated in yesterday's Lowther Stakes, but was delighted with Firecrest, who gained her fifth win of the campaign in the Galtres Stakes.

Samsaam is another prolific scorer from the Dunlop yard and has strong claims here on the strength of his latest Group 3 victory at Chantilly, his fourth win from six starts.

Settrington trainer John Quinn has done wonders recently with Premium Princess, a winner at Sandown and Pontefract. It would come as no surprise to see her complete a hat-trick in the ladbrokes.co.uk Handicap - with Darley in the saddle.

At Newmarket, Amanda Perrett, fresh from two winners on Knavesmire, which included the Tote Ebor Handicap with Give The Slip, can continue her purple patch with Inducement in the Danepak Classic Rated Handicap.

Lighty-raced this term, Inducement was having only his second start when beating Trois and Paarl Rock - both winners since - at Leicester a fortnight ago. He can follow-up here.

The £25,000 Tote Trifecta Nursery takes pride of place at HQ, and the vote goes to Times Square, winner of two of his last three races.

Also worth looking out for are the progressive Hadath (3-35) and the David Nicholls-trained Pierpoint (4-40), who gave notice of a return to form at Pontefract recently.

The Channel 4 cameras will be covering a brace of live races from Beverley, where Perfect Peach could be ripe for an overdue success in the Stanley Racing Handicap.

Chris Fairhurst's mare, second in a handicap at Redcar two outings ago, has since run above herself to finish a close seventh in a Listed race at Pontefract. She is a hard horse to win with, but opportunity could finally come knocking here.

In the other televised event, the netbetsports.com Handicap over five furlongs, do not be surprised to see David Chapman's Soaked lead from start to finish under Tony Culhane.
