A motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle accident in Wigginton Road this afternoon.
The man died at York District Hospital, less than an hour after the smash at 1.45pm.
The accident involved the motorbike and a car and happened 200 yards before the Bumper Castle junction.
The road was closed while the emergency services dealt with the accident.
