TRIPLETS Charlton, Jazmin and Kamen may only be 14 weeks old, but the little celebrities are already no strangers to public appearances.

Their mother and father, Melissa and Stephen Knowles, from Pocklington, took the babies to the Asda store at Monk's Cross, to launch the birth of its George Baby section.

The shop, which sells everything from soothers to strollers and cot bumpers, also welcomed Winnie the Pooh and gave customers a chance to win £100 of George baby vouchers. With everything under one roof, the shop is designed to make life easier for all mothers, especially those like Melissa, who have more than one baby to buy for.

Melissa said: "They've got everything that a baby wants in the shop.

"It's quite hard work shopping with three babies and I tend to go on my own and my mum looks after them. They're coming on a treat, growing and getting fat.

"Everybody stops you, which is lovely because people are interested and it's something of a treat as there aren't that many triplets around."

The products at Asda bear the name of fashion guru George Davies, creator of the George range.

He said: "The importance of offering the best value, hassle-free shopping trip for mums cannot be underestimated. Our research shows that mums want to have everything they need for their family under one roof, and demand quality and innovation at the lowest possible price."
