Montana Miss, trained in South Glamorgan by Bryn Palling, can make her third successful foray to Yorkshire tomorrow.

The two-year-old heads to Beverley for the Holderness Pony Club Novice Auction Stakes and looks set to complete a hat-trick of wins.

Montana Miss got off the mark over this course and distance in easy style and scored with similar authority on her latest outing at Catterick where she made all the running and ran on strongly to beat the odds-on Parvenue.

A useful filly in the making, Montana Miss can oblige again tomorrow in the hands of ton-up jockey Kevin Darley.

The Sheriff Hutton rider notched his 100th win of the year at Thirsk on Monday night and followed-up at Ayr yesterday by registering his century on turf.

The Bollinger Champagne Challenge Series Handicap will take very little winning and it is difficult to look beyond the top weight Padhams Green, trained by Barry Hill and the mount of his son Charlie.

The four-year-old won a previous heat of this series at Newmarket last month when beating the evergreen veteran Yeast by three-quarters of a length.

Raised 4lb for that success, Padhams Green ought to be able to follow-up here and is awarded the Nap vote.

The Rapid Lad Handicap, named after the former course specialist, trained by John Spearing, can fall to Were Not Stoppin, the mount of Ollie Pears.

The five-year-old, a winner on this course earlier in the season, has proved a prolific winner this summer, but occasionally blots his copybook by being unruly at the stalls, which reached fever-pitch at Hamilton last month when he was withdrawn after refusing to be loaded.

In the hope that Were Not Stoppin is on his best behaviour here, he should take all the beating.

Best Port can come out on top in the St John Ambulance Selling Handicap.

Trained by John Parkes, the four-year-old failed by just half-a-length to beat Italian Rose in a similar event to this at Nottingham last month. Compensation is on the cards.

Neville Callaghan, who is based in Newmarket, can make another successful trip to Beverley, courtesy of Port Moresby in the Toll Gavel Nursery.

This progressive two-year-old gained a workmanlike success in a maiden race over this course and distance at the beginning of the month and left the impression that he could step up again.

At Epsom, Flying Treaty should not be overlooked in the Drake & Scull Handicap.

Although yet to win a race in three outings, John Gosden's charge has shown ability in maiden races.

Now stepped up in distance and tackling a handicap for the first time, he promises to make a bold bid under Ray Cochrane.

Pat Eddery, in hot pursuit of Kevin Darley in the jockeys' championship, can help his cause by scoring on Couture (2.35) and Susan's Pride (3.05).
