A BROWN envelope stuffed with £20 notes has arrived at York District Hospital from an anonymous donor.
Nadine Paver, children's centre manager at YDH said she wanted to express her gratitude to the sender, who gave the initials FWW as the only clue to their identity.
The envelope contained £200 and arrived through the post this week with a card which read, 'hope this helps you - for the children'.
Nadine said: "It was such a sweet thought. They obviously want to stay anonymous but I just wanted to let them know that it had arrived safely, it is very much appreciated and is going to be put to a good cause."
The children's centre is for young people who come to the hospital for outpatient appointments, physiotherapy, speech therapy and other treatments.
The money will go into the Children's Charitable Trust Fund and will be used on equipment needed by the centre.
