The Duke of York, Prince Andrew, is expected to visit Helmsley next month, the Evening Press can reveal.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman confirmed that a visit is planned for Wednesday, September 27.
The spokesman said: "He is going to spend a day in North Yorkshire and go to Helmsley, but it is all subject to a reconnaissance visit by his office first."
The spokesman was unable to say exactly what Prince Andrew would do, but hinted a visit to Helmsley Town Hall was likely to take place.
