BABY Emily Jayne Steele hailed a special ride home from her christening - in a bus which has been named after her.
The bus belongs to her grandparents, Peter and Susan Dew, who own York's Top Line Travel fleet.
Five-month-old Emily and her parents Andrew and Victoria Steele, were its first passengers when they were taken to Emily's Christening at Rillington Church.
The closed-top bus is decorated in York City Sightseeing colours.
Susan said: "Emily is our first grandchild and she proved to be the star of the show at the launch of York City Sightseeing. The bus trip to her christening kept a few cars off the road, and it seemed appropriate to name the bus after her.
"It may start a trend, though - we now have another granddaughter."
The York City Sightseeing service, which has carried more than 10,000 passengers in three months, also carries local passengers.
Peter said: "We bought it for other work as well, but it is fully equipped for use for sightseeing tours during bad weather.
"We have a number of regular customers who use our buses to travel from Walmgate to the library and back."
