A TRUE native of York who said hard work and a sherry tipple were the secrets of her long life has died aged 103.
Annie Boulton was born in the Groves area and worked at the Rowntree factory and in school canteens. She lived at the York Rise Nursing Home from March 1990.
Proprietor Tony Hall-Jackson said she had stayed in the same good health until shortly before her death, adding: "She always had a mischievous determination to get what she wanted. She was a wonderful old woman."
Her funeral is on Wednesday at 11am at St Laurence's Church.
