A BOY has been charged with robbing three German teenage visitors to York.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before York magistrates in custody.
He is accused of robbing one visitor of a £300 Seiko watch, a second of £15 cash and a third of £8 in cash.
All the charges allege he acted with others.
The boy, who comes from central York, was released on bail. His next appearance is expected to be before York Youth Court in September.
The boy was charged following an incident that began in Museum Gardens and continued along the bank of the River Ouse on Saturday afternoon.
