AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy had to be plucked from the North Yorkshire Moors after he injured his leg.
The boy, who has not been identified but is from Pocklington, is thought to have slipped while walking with his mother near the Mallyan Spout waterfall, Goathland.
Scarborough & District Search and Rescue team joined North Yorkshire ambulance service, who used Land Rovers to reach the boy.
They used ropes and a stretcher to haul him to the top of a steep slope, where he was transferred to an ambulance and taken to Scarborough District Hospital at about 4pm yesterday.
